Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Arc of Spokane's Supported Living Program operates 24/7 and is searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable people who want to work as part of a goal- and success-oriented team. There is opportunity for advancement, paid on the job training, and assistance in obtaining all required certifications required in this line of work.
The Arc of Spokane is currently filling full-time and part-time shifts. Flexibility is key and a weekend day is required.
Day Shifts: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Swing Shifts: 2 p.m. - 10 p.m.
Graveyard Shifts: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m.
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
Must be 18 years or older
Must pass required fingerprint background checks.
Must maintain personal transportation available for work-related use and a WA state valid driver's license with proof of liability insurance. Essential functions include transporting clients to appointments, shopping, community outings, and other transportation needs as assigned. You may be trained on the operation and use of agency vehicles.
Must be willing to attend and complete all required trainings within the assigned timelines.
Compensation: $21.50/hr
Non-exempt, full-time 40 hours/week positions include Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO) after the eligibility period and 13 paid holidays. All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane, thus the starting pay for this position is $21.50 per hour.
A structured hiring bonus is offered to new staff as follows:
$250 the pay period after 30 days of successful employment.
$500 the pay period after 90 days of successful employment.
$1000 the pay period after 120 days of successful employment and the completion of all required trainings.
